Why Did My Payment Fail?

Hey there — if your payment didn’t go through, don’t worry. We’ve got your back. Payment hiccups can happen for a few different reasons, and we’re here to help you understand what’s going on and what to do next.

A Few Common Reasons Payments Fail

  1. Not Enough Funds
Sometimes the bank account doesn’t have enough in it when we try to process your payment. It happens — and you’re not alone.

  2. Bank Account Changes
If the bank account was closed, changed, or restricted since you first linked it, that can block the payment from going through.

  3. Temporary Bank Issues
Occasionally, there’s a tech hiccup between us and the banks. These are usually quick fixes and nothing to stress about.

  4. Bank Blocked the Payment
The banks may have flagged the payment for security. It’s their way of keeping things safe, but it can get in the way sometimes.

What Happens Now?

If your payment didn’t go through, the best thing to do is update your payment date in the app as soon as you can. This will kick off the missed payment and help get everything back on track.

To help things go smoothly next time:

  • Make sure there’s enough in your account on the retry date.

  • Check your linked bank account to confirm it’s still active and correct.

  • Reach out to your bank if you think they may have blocked the payment.

Once you do that, we’ll try the payment again on the date you picked in the app. Just make sure there’s enough in your account when that day comes around!

Heads up: You have a 29-day grace period from your original due date to make your payment without it being reported as late to the credit bureaus. We’re here to help you stay on track — just reach out if you need support.
